The old mans hair at the start reminds me of a horses tail and the MC's reaction to the male bridesmaid is still funny no matter how many times I see it. Also, I'm surprised myanime live (izfanmade) picked this one up considering how behind they are with the other donghua's they are subbing.

myanime live reminds me of an old anime subbing group called Animejunkies, they subbed everything back in the early days of fansubbing (They were the one who were famed for the mass naked children kidnapping translations for Ghost in the Shell: Alone Complex when it was just supposed to be mass children kidnapping lol)
I was interested in watching older animes and the animes were in IRC chat rooms, and every where I went I saw their fansubbing, and they covered the bulk of the older animes.
Got to catch them all I guess lol

The good old fansubbings days, I remember Animejunkies, you might be too young or wasn't even born yet to know this but Animejunkies was one of the biggest fansubbing groups, they were obsessed with subbing every anime that came out, this was way before discord, before msn messenging, icq, the good old IRC, internet relay chat, I feel so old now, lol

Even though I did use IRC back then, I didn't consider it safe. It was very easy to get anyone's IP address from that and if you annoyed the wrong person it could lead to a costly mistake. I found out first hand after I annoyed someone and the next day I couldnt use my pc.

I jumped on the bit-torrent ship almost as soon as it came out. I used a few different apps but the one that stands out most to me at the moment is azure because microsoft chose to use that same name for one of their products.

Yes when I logged into IRC, I used some program called mirc, it showed my IP address, luckily someone I know in real life who uses it regularly guided me on how to use it and told me do not chat, do not ask for help unless he was online, he said there are lot of bored kids that will DDOS you with IRC bots because they simply dont like the way you talk or just your nickname, yeah it was like a totally different world similar to the darkweb not that I have access to the darkweb

admins and server moderators got a message when a new user logs onto the server with their name and ip. Normal users were able to do a whois then dns to get them so your friend was wise to say that to you so that you'd keep a low profile. There were a lot of different mirc's back then because people scripted their own versions that performed different things. I made a games bot version to keep people entertained when I wasnt around chatting.

I wouldnt say that, myanime live aka izfanmade didnt start with good subs and got better over time. The same can be said with AnimeXin though they took longer to get better and terrorized Soul Land for over a year before their subs were decent. Both of them still produce subs that are not 100% accurate but are pretty good now.
In regard to translation errors, sometimes they can be pretty funny if you read them like for example in the last scene of Yong Sheng that was released yesterday the pink prince said "I am going to suck your sprit up". The version I watched on Saturday with a different subber had that as saying "I am going to suck your vag". My jaw dropped reading that bad sub but at the same time I found it amusing because even though I dont understand Chinese, it was obvious that they meant life force (spirit). Either the subber was perverted or trying to follow what the pink prince said beforehand as he did say something about taking advantage of her body.
